Well, it's official, my baby boy is 5. Not really a baby boy anymore, is he? Daddy came down for his birthday. We went to Medieval Times last night for the dinner/jousting show. All the the kids had a blast! It was a very long night (didn't get home until 11pm) and yes, we paid for it in drama today, but how many fifth birthdays does a little guy have? This afternoon we had cake/presents/cookout/pool day. I uploaded the pictures to my photobucket. Hopefully they are scrolling over this post as you read.
Will had a tball game that conflicted with his and the girls' soccer games yesterday. Daddy and I took W and R took the girls. No choice really, since he coaches both soccer teams and Dad filled in with his assistant coaching with the tball team. He hit the ball very well. R said F's team got creamed and that she is a little afraid of the big kids she's playing against this season. (8 yr olds) He did say that GG did a much better job of getting into the mix.
All in all, it was a really good weekend. We are off to the busy-ness of next week and somehow have to fit packing for DC into it since we leave on Friday.
I have suspended our history curriculum for the last/next few weeks in favor of American History and a bit of civics, due to the trip.
So, happy birthday "Joy Boy", Mommy loves you!

Oh, Medieval Times! Of course, it's in GA now, but it's such a Florida-child tradition.
Happy 5th year, Will!!
