Wow, another month has gone by without a blog post. Most of it was spent with all the usual, plus helping to take care of my Mom. (and Dad) They were here for about 2.5 weeks, then the kids and I went there for another week. We rode home with them in the motorhome. The kids thought that was a blast. F said when we got to PC that it was the shortest trip we'd ever made there and that it was a much better way to travel.... That's my girl. High standards that she doesn't even realize she has yet. Do you know that girl orders a Filet Mignon every chance she gets? Mom had an MRI that last week that showed a shrinkage in her brain tumors from the Avastin treatments. She still isn't strong enough to handle another chemo treatment, so she is now in physical therapy trying to get there.
I finally settled on an outdoor playset for the kids and talked R into the purchase, so we are in the middle of putting that together. All those mornings at Home Depot are paying off now. W is being a lot of help. The girls mostly swam, but when they found out it was a photo op, they had to get in on the act. I will post some pictures. The monstrosity (which is what R calls it) is off to a good start from the weekend, although we are only about 1/3 of the way through.
All of the kids are swimming well now. Even little GG can swim the length of the pool. It is a relief not to constantly worry about someone falling in and not being able to get out. They are all very excited about the playset.
F has her quarterly appt. in Tampa this week. It is actually the one where she has to go to the hospital and get all her yearly tests so the whole family is going instead of just the 2 of us. She seems to be doing really well and staying healthy, but still, the thought of tests always makes me nervous about bad results.
Here are some cute pix from building....
