Self fullfiling prophecy!............that's the term I was struggling with last night to describe my GG.
Given the fact that R and I are both Pisces, it shouldn't be any surprise that I gave birth to fish..., but it was to me.
More swimming today W was able to jump into the deep end of the pool and swim the distance lengthwise by himself. I am so proud of him. He has been the one that has had to overcome the most fear about the whole swimming thing, but he did it today. He also read quite a bit of his HOP this morning. At first he wanted to call Daddy and Grandaddy to tell them. He told Daddy by phone, but decided to wait to surprise Grandaddy this weekend.....(Dad, if he loses his resolve to wait and calls you, the swimming is what he is talking about)
I think our GG has an iron lung. She hasn't figured out the whole come up for air then go back under to swim thing, so she just swims underwater all the time. Never wanting to be outdone, she swims over half the length of the pool underwater. She can hold her breath longer than any of them. Oh, she is also the only one that swims without goggles and a nose plug. None of those sissy crutches for her! Of course she is still the most brave (foolhearty) one, so now she thinks she can really swim and will get into trouble easily. None of them want to ever wear their swimmies any longer, so my stress level has increased trying to watch them all at the same time.
R called me today to ask me what I thought of Detroit and/or Philly......Are you serious, really? We just closed on the house in Atlanta last week! Besides, neither one of them can compare to Melbourne, house situation not withstanding. He said he wasn't REALLY considering anything, but it was nice to be asked.
That was our day. Love to you all!
