Next, it was on to the Pirate Ship. Yes, I know my kids are the only ones wearing lifejackets..........it always amazes me the number of parents that could be charged with child neglect on a daily basis:) Onboard, the crew was all in costume and character and they were great. You can see by the pictures that the kids had a blast! I tried to go through t
he pictures and remember all the things they did. So, not in this order, they had a water gun fight. Yes, their first introduction to those.Swabbed the deck, ate,got their faces painted and were given hats, had a sword fight, ate, watched dolphins(Faith was the most excited about that), ate, fired cannons, followed the crew doing the chicken dance and a conga line with tamborines and ate and ate. (Yes, these are the same children I normally have to beg to eat) At one point Will and Grace were fighting over a hotdog because the lady couldn't get them cooked fast enough.....It was the second one for them both. They took them all down below deck and told them some story of pirates and buried treasure, then sent them back up top to look for the treasure they told them about in the story. Apparently they had a buoy out there tied to a treasure chest that the kids spotted and all helped pull up out of the water on a long rope. Then there was the opening of the chest, the treasure getting (which was done in such a nice orderly way none of the smaller kids got trampled) then they wrapped up with pirate tatoos on the hands. I know, who am I? Water guns? tatoos? T
hen, we went back to the beach for a little swimming and sand castle building before heading home. Needless to say, we are all exhausted...........Mommy most of all, but it was worth it. Will had a wonderful birthday that he won't soon be forgetting. I am sure that he will be nominating me for "Mommy of the Year"..........at least he'd BETTER BE. So, enjoy the pictures and videos.
