Wow, Christmas makes time fly doesn't it. It seems there's never enough time to get it all done.
It has been very warm this week and the kids got to swim Sun, Mon, and Tues. It was actually so nice today that I would've liked to get in, but a Mommy's work is never done this time of year. Add on top of that all the extra rehearsals that her Christmas musical has squeezed in, the two days I spent making her stinking sheep costume, an orthodontist appt tomorrow (finally going to do something about that crossbite) R decided to have someone from work over Thurs.night for dinner (whom I've never met) F's two performances on Fri night and Sat..........then her bday on Sunday! You may be wondering what the other two are up to at this point. Will decided to put his fingers in his mouth at Aldi's after touching THE FLOOR last Monday. So, of course he started getting sick on Tuesday. I went all out with the infection control. First Will was only allowed outside his room if he put a mask on. I let him go out on the back porch around Wednesday. Gracie badgered me into letting her out with the agreement that they both stay on their respective pieces of wicker...Of course, they didn't and G started getting sick that night. So, now we hit double quarentine mode. Even F is doing her best this time to stay away as to not get sick. She doesn't want to be sick on her birthday and Christmas. Will has gotten so much better, I'm about ready to declare him cured, but GG's a little behind. She has actually learned how to do a sinus rinse with the positive pressure flow bottle. She thinks it's cool to show off her big gutches.. "Gutches" would be the medical term for globs of snot that come out of her nose into the sink or bathrub, whichever she's leaning over. So, the good news is, she should be done by the time Daddy gets here this weekend. The last time he saw us, he caught her ear infection. I told them all last week that Grandaddy wouldn't want to come and get sick again. So far, so good with F. Sunday (13th) was the tenth anniversary of R's and mine's first date. He surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring wrap to go onto my wedding set. Yes, I know, he's really too good to me, but don't tell him I said so.
Yesterday we caught a turtle laying her eggs in our backyard so now we are on baby turtle watch. My friend, Summer, was on the NBC nightly news tonight. Those are about the only things going on for us. Here are some pictures of what double quarentine looks like at our house. My swashbuckler and my Pooh bear....Oh, on the pirate note. All three were playing pirates today and they were pretending that the upsidedown mega lego blocks were their drinks...One guess what they were "drinking".....A bottle of rum! Aren't I proud...
