After a tirade to the fence salesman and someone on his staff on Monday, the fence is finally done! Yaaay! Why do some people insist on not doing the right thing until I have to get ugly? The dog ran away, TWICE today. The first time he came back on his own in about 5 minutes...I don't go after him anymore. The second time (and I was sure he was gone for good this time) some nosy do gooder neighbor brought him home. How in the world did she find us? There are no tags on his collar! At the risk of sounding ungrateful, the poor woman went door to door until she found someone that told her they thought he was ours. If the kids hadn't been behind me in the doorway, and I'd have been a little faster on my toes, I would've said "No, I've never seen him before in my life."
G has 2 favorite new songs. One is the Veggie Tales theme song and the other is Zacchius. She loves for you to sing her the song, then read the story. It goes"Zacchius was a wee little man and a wee little man was he. He climbed up in the sicamore tree for the Lord he wanted to see. And as the saviour passed this way he looked up in the tree, and said "Zacchius! You come down, for I'm going to your house today" W heard me sing the song to her this afternoon and exclaimed, " That's just rude, telling somone you're going to their house when you haven't been invited!" How funny is that? I know Jesus has been thought of in many ways, but up until now, I've never heard him be referred to as rude!
The last two days of school have been rather light. Maybe we all need a Spring Break, what a great idea! Why didn't I think of that until now? I think we are all suffering from the lack of a grandparent in the house. We have had one or two with us since Christmas all but about 2 weeks. Come on grandparents, don't you want to come live in paradise? There is a house for sale in our cul de sac......
