G's main present came in the mail today. I am so excited about this. She told me she wanted a girl Eddie for about a month. (She was putting in the context of when we go back to the baby hospital..) For those of you who don't know, Eddie is W's Cabbage Patch (splash) kid. I think, sure, how hard can that be to find? I am so glad I got on this last week because they have stopped making the things! I found two on amazon for 125.00 a piece and one on ebay with a 6 day auction. I emailed at the beginning of the auction asking for a BIN price because I didn't want to cut it so close to her bday. The owner emailed back saying there would be no BIN price for the item. So..I wait the 6 days and some odd hours which ended Sunday night. I came on with a couple of hours left before the end of the auction and was very pleasantly surprised to see that no one had bid on the thing all week! Of course I was still nervous for the next two hours thinking the bidding would go crazy in the last few minutes. BTW, the thing ended at 1130pm! Long story long, I ended up being the only bidder and got it for her starting price. I bet she was UNhappy. Of course I ended up paying more for the priority shipping that I needed at that point, but it was still a good deal. New and in the box! I hope she is excited as I am about the thing. I went to Target tonight and picked up a few more things for her.
G wanted to ride bikes this morning, so I took them out after we finished up with school. It was still in the AM and I was frying on the driveway pavement. Finally, I said, "Well, you kids let me know when you get too hot out here and we will go to the back and swim." Of course they all jumped on that, so it was much more pleasant after that. My point........it's only March and I was frying on the driveway like that egg (brain) on drugs! The county still hasn't come through with the building permit on the fence, so I'm annoyed about that. That's about all since yesterday.
