Rest of the week
Well, the other 2 ended up getting F's cold and we couldn't go to PC on Friday as planned. Not only did it move our trip back, but poor Shoes has to move her trip back, also. So, mostly this week has been snot and fevers for everyone. Gage ran away one day. He ran straight to where the kids were having a picnic in the backyard and left the food there to get out of my reach! So, it was just like in PC, minus the canal swim. He went around the back of the cul de sac in everyone's yards, then out onto the next neighborhood street. At that point I just said "Have a nice life" and the kids and I went inside. I was thinking.......we're new here, no one knows us, no one knows our dog, he has never been on a neighborhood walk, so that will be that. The kids and I came in and were cleaning their rooms when F yells out "Gage! Gage is in our backyard". Her room is at the back of the house and faces the tree where we tie him and let him back into the enclosure. She saw him out of her window. I told her to go out and get him if she could, thinking he would run away from her too as soon as he saw her. ...Well, as it turns out, he was just waiting at the door of the enclosure to be let in! So, not only am I aggravated at him, nothing unusual, but now I'm mad too. A lot of times when he gets on my nerves it is hard to actually be mad at him because afterall, he's just a stupid animal and can't help it......Not anymore! He just ran the neighborhood until he got tired and came home for a drink of water. That's not stupid...stupid is not being able to find your way home........in a new neighborhood no less. (Did I mention this is a new neighborhood for him?) That's just bad..........a bad bad dog! The good news, R did our taxes this weekend and we get to have the fence built! I have been organizing the babies clothes. A job that's needed to be done since we moved here. I really just threw everything in the closets and decided to sort it all out later.....Well, now is later. This weekend has been very low key trying to get babies well. R has a national meeting this week, so he won't be here to help after tomorrow morning. Pray for us all:)
