Okay, enough house stuff. You've seen the whole thing except our bedroom and a couple of boring bathrooms. Our bedroom isn't done and probably won't be until 3 months before we end up having to move from here. (That's what happened in Atlanta)
So it was the Saturday after Faith ran the Mickey Mile. We took the kids to the Magic Kingdom. Faith's favorite ride was the Winnie the Pooh house, Will's favorite thing was getting to hug Tigger and Gracie will tell you that her favorite thing was riding the monorail. They also really enjoyed the parades. We took them on the Pirates OTC ride specifically for Will because he had decided to be a pirate when he got older. About 1/4 thru the ride, not only did he no longer want to be a pirate, but he was ready for even the ride to be over. I sat beside him with my arms around him. The poor little guy's heart was about to beat out of his chest!
They also like the Swiss FR treehouse, since they know that story. Faith will tell you that she liked the "ballerinas" What are the ballerinas you ask? The Disney Princesses. Since we don't do the DP's because of their poor example, they had no idea who they were. The only frame of reference she has of girls in dresses like that is at the ballet. So, she called them the ballerinas and we went with it.
John and Kristen met us there with BabyDow and Madison. The whole reason for the weekend, in case I didn't say earlier was that it was race weekend. Richard and John ran the Marathon on Sunday. We loved being able to catch up with them a bit. BDow has gotten so big and Madison and Mary are just grown! Richard finished his marathon in four hours and eight minutes. I thought it was a super time! Well, I thought just finishing the thing was superhuman to be honest. So, now we are blessed with two winning runners and W and G are already talking about when they can run the MM. G is still a little too young and let's face it, W's too lazy. I will love giving him the chance, but he moans and whines about having to ride his bike a mile. When we would go hiking in GA, he was always the first one to start complaining. We'll see how things go when push comes to shove.
We all have colds (again) this has been the worst winter for them that I can remember. How ironic, since we now live in the warmest climate ever, for us? It is going to be 80 on Thursday! We went to the beach yesterday for a picnic and let the kids run around. I dressed them in clothes because it's been unusually cold here lately. (The man next door said it was the coldest he's seen since he's lived here.....20 years!)
We went to a new church this morning. I think we all liked it and will probably try to stick with that one for a while. It is an AMIA church named Prince of Peace. (POP) For those not familiar, the AMIA is the Anglican Mission in America. I started to try to explain it here, but decided to go the website and just copy/paste what it is........lest I really screw it up and never hear the end from John Richardson:)
The Anglican Mission in the Americas is a bold missionary strategy born seven years ago in response to a crisis of faith and leadership in North America. We are driven by a compelling vision of reaching the 150 million individuals in the U.S. and Canada who have yet to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by building communities of faith and transforming lives.
The crisis of faith and leadership in North America it is referring to the Anglican Church in America (AKA the Episcopal church)
It is getting late, so let me post some pictures from Disney and to to bed.
